Mr. Stuart Neslin

Spiritual Director and Church Liaison

Deacon Stuart Neslin is the Spiritual Director and Church Liaison at St. Mary's Catholic School. Prior to becoming the full-time Pastoral Administrator at St. Mary's Catholic Church in January 2008, Deacon Neslin had a 28 year career in Human Resources Management. He has an M. A. in Personnel Administration from Columbia University and a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies (Economics/German) from Union College (N.Y.). Deacon Neslin was ordained a Permanent Deacon in the Archdiocese of Atlanta by Archbishop Wilton Gregory in 2006. Deacon Neslin and his wife Barbara have lived in Rome for the past 12 years. They have two children: Sheila Pinkard, who lives in Rome with her husband David and daughter Grace Annmarie (SMS Pre-K, Class of 2012); and son Andrew, who lives in Chattanooga, TN with wife Camila and son Brandon, who is a student at St. Jude's Catholic School.Deacon and Mrs. Neslin are catechists in the St. Mary's Parish School of Religion and participate in a variety of other Church activities.
