Mrs. Susan McClellan

First Grade

Mrs. Susan McClellan has been teaching since 1977 and has been teaching at Saint Mary’s since 1988. She received her Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Auburn University in 1977 and began teaching kindergarten in Ocilla, Georgia. Mrs. McClellan also taught first grade in Tifton and Carroll County before moving to Rome in 1988. In addition to first grade, she has taught kindergarten and fifth grade at Saint Mary’s and she chaired the 2003-04 SACS re-accreditation committee. She and her husband, John, have two sons, one daughter and one granddaughter. Mrs. McClellan is a member of First Baptist Church of Rome, where she is a preschool Sunday School teacher. She loves working with first graders as they develop the skills they will need to continue learning in future years.
