Catholic Tuition Assistance
The Archdiocese of Atlanta provides an annual grant to the school for tuition assistance. This funding is provided by each parish in the Archdiocese of Atlanta and is used to provide financial aid to Catholic families only. Archdiocesan tuition assistance is based on need and eligibility.
Grizzard Scholarships
Students who have family members who are employed by Southeastern Mills may apply for a Grizzard Scholarship, given by the Grizzard children in honor of their parents, Vernon and Gaynell Grizzard. Parents of applicants should go through the Human Resources Office at Southeastern Mills and also mention to the Saint Mary’s admissions director that they are employed at Southeastern Mills. The maximum award is $1,000 per child and depends on the number of applicants in a given year.
Knights of Columbus Scholarships
The Knights of Columbus Council #4410 of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church gives a scholarship each year to a Saint Mary’s student who has financial need. Applications may be requested from the Saint Mary’s School Business Office.
GRACE Scholars Program
In 2008 the State of Georgia made a change in the tax laws, making it possible for citizens to designate some of their tax dollars to provide scholarships to private schools. In response to this, the Archdiocese of Atlanta established the GRACE Scholars Program for new students wishing to enter Georgia Catholic schools.
Students who are residents of Georgia and who are entering PK-3, PK-4, kindergarten or first grade may apply for GRACE Scholarships. Additionally, GRACE Scholarships are available to Georgia residents in second grade and up who will be entering Saint Mary’s from a public school.
The first step in the GRACE process is to establish financial need by completing and submitting the FACTS application by the annual deadline. The second step is to complete the one-page GRACE Scholars application by March 1. Click here for more information and requirements.
Once financial aid is determined, GRACE Scholarships will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis.
